Mushrooms up

I've no idea where these came from. They just appeared one day like some gnome left them behind on his way through or something.

After a quick Google I reckon they must be Coprinus Micaceus. They don't really look anything like them but they look more like them than they look like any other fungi that is deemed to be growing in the British Isles.

Judging by the lumps that have been taken out of them they also seem to be popular with slugs and snails. With any luck they've got indigestion.
