The step

You might have noticed in the previous picture the addition of a step type thing at the top of the shot, and here it is.

I installed this probably around the beginning of April, in the place where the grass simply refuses to grow - more than likely because there is some sand under there from when the paving slabs were laid, and it's overshadowed by moisture-sucking bamboo on one side and huge tree ferns on the other.

As far as grass is concerned, that's a fairly hostile environment.

I don't think it looks too bad, in a seaside shingly kind of way.
