BLSG on tour: West Lodge, Aylsham
The pictures you are about to see are more than a month old. That's how rubbish I am at posting on this blog. In fact I have such a backlog of posts that I will probably be perpetually a month behind just trying to catch up.
All the same, a gorgeous garden is a gorgeous garden and that can certainly be said for West Lodge in Aylsham, the owners of which opened their gates as part of the National Garden Scheme.
This is a bit more substantial than your avarage garden, granted. More along the lines of a small park, to be honest, but beautiful nonetheless.
And what makes it even more admirable is the owner's willingness to share it with the local community. As well as opening it to the public as part of the NGS, he has been known to allow jazz festivals on the lawn, and the neighbouring primary school uses the garden for its sports days and nature field trips.
