Flowers in October

It's not even cold. It might be wet, miserable, windy, getting darker by the day, but a quick look at the thermometer outside has confirmed it isn't cold. It's 18 degrees, that's not bad for October.

Probably why things are still growing in the garden. Take the canna lillies. This one has even sent up a whole new flower bud. It's like it's saying "you call this autumn? Pah!"

Whether it will flower before the biting temparatures we always get in Early November is anyone's guess, but it looks like it's going to give it a good try.

Is this what they mean by global warming?
